THE STORY OF IKAT FABRIC

Ikat is not just a print or pattern, it is a dyeing technique. Unlike other textiles, Ikat involves an intricate manufacturing process wherein the yarn is first dyed and then woven on the handloom. The process is so tedious and painstaking that Ikat has been termed as 'Poetry of the Loom'.

From blouses to stretch pants, ikat-method dyeing is used everywhere in the fashion industry.

Scarves, shawls, and headscarves are all common applications of ikat in accessories. Of course, shoes, purses, belts, and other items may also bear ikat patterns.

Pillowcases, sheets, and other bedding products often feature ikat patterns. Traditionally, ikat was frequently used in wall hangings, and ikat patterns are still commonplace on walls around the world.

Our Fabrics Do Not Bleed Color. However, we recommend to do dry clean in first wash.
